CITIZENS~UNION SAVINGS BANK PROMOTES CARL W. TABER

Citizens~Union Savings Bank President and Chief Executive Officer, Nicholas M. Christ, recently announced the election of Carl W. Taber to the office of Executive Vice President - Senior Loan Officer.  Prior to joining Citizens~Union in November 2004, Taber worked for 29 years at Compass Bank in their Lending Division and was in charge of the Real Estate Mortgage Department.

As Executive Vice President, Taber is responsible for managing all aspects of Citizens~Union's Lending Division, including Consumer, Residential, and Commercial Lending.  Taber resides in Mattapoisett, MA, with his wife Natalie and holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.  He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Supervisory School and the National Association of Savings Banks Graduate School.

Taber is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Southcoast Hospitals Group and a committee member of the St. Mary's Education Fund having previously served as Chairperson of their annual development event.  He is a current member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association, and has previously served on their Board of Directors.  Taber is a Corporator of Child & Family Services, formerly serving as President of their Board of Directors.  His previous community involvement also includes affiliations with the United Way of New Bedford, Junior Achievement, the Waterfront Historic Area League (WHALE), and Coastline Elderly Services.
